The Challenge
The client was suffering from high shopping cart abandonment due to sluggish page speeds and a frustrating, multi-step checkout flow on their legacy system.
The Solution
We decoupled their storefront from Shopify's liquid engine and built a custom headless Next.js frontend. We implemented granular query caching via GraphQL, localized page routes, and created an optimized one-page checkout flow.
Key Results
Page load speed decreased from 4.8s to 0.9s.
Lighthouse performance rating rose to 98/100.
Overall e-commerce sales conversion increased by 42% in the first 60 days.
